Hill concludes on poignant, hopeful note

Throughout the past nine years, the hit television series One Tree Hill has taken millions of viewers through a roller-coaster coming-of-age trip following the lives of high schoolers in a quaint town in North Carolina. On April 4, that journey—spanning 187 episodes and uncountable moments of drama—came to an end.
The series finale lasted two hours, with the first hour incorporating clips of the cast and crew answering questions and reminiscing over highlights of their nine highly melodramatic, emotion-filled seasons.
Creator Mark Schwahn discussed the show’s multipurpose aims: to relate to struggling students nationwide by tackling difficult issues, to create a platform for talented up-and-coming musicians and to create a cast of characters with whom viewers can become “pseudo-friends.”
Whether an episode dealt with topics of school shootings, drugs or eating disorders, lead actor James Lafferty notes, “The show has helped [fans] through tough periods in their lives, and I think that’s a testament to where the heart of our show is.”

It was a really beautiful episode and I’m so happy it wrapped up everyone’s storylines in such a lovely way. I will admit to shedding a few tears when Logan called Quinn mom. It was just too sweet and those three certainly deserve to be happy together. And being the Brooke fan that I am, I was thrilled to see her get the happy ending that she has always deserved. It was a perfect ending for the show full of love, family and friendships, which is how it all started so many years ago. I hope you guys all enjoyed it as well.

Shantel VanSanten On ‘One Tree Hill’ & How Empowering Others Changes The World!

When we first met Shantel VanSanten’s character on “One Tree Hill”, she was introduced to us as Haley’s sister; but it didn’t take long for her role of Quinn James to become a pivotal part of the veteran series- as we saw her go through a roller-coaster journey these past three seasons. One that led viewers to discover the many sides of Quinn in the various chapters that can be opened in the book of life. The many elements and layers of her character is something VanSanten says she is grateful she got to experience as an actress with her time on “One Tree Hill”. And it was just one of many things VanSanten expressed her gratitude for as we reflected back on her years with the CW drama, which is set to air its series finale on April 4. A finale she says will be an emotional yet fulfilling experience for the fans who have stood by the show through-out its nine-year run.
And while the fans have stood by the show, VanSanten has stood by her fans. As the Ambassador to Team True Beauty, the young actress has been like a teacher of hope and healing to girls. So much so that her off-screen and on-screen work collided when a fan wrote VanSanten’s poignant Team True Beauty advice: “You are beautiful, You are capable, You are loved,” on the most sacred Tree Hill landmark-the rivercourt-and sent photos of it throughout Twitter! In our first interview upon her debut to Tree Hill, I wrote how clear it was to see that VanSanten “is dedicated to being someone young women everywhere can relate to.” I still strongly stand by those words today as I have gotten to know her and can say that her candor, her strength, and her genuine compassion for others all make her a role model of what it means to be a true inspiration. After this week we may no longer be seeing her role of Quinn on our television screens; but knowing Shantel VanSanten, the role she continues to play in positively impacting the lives of others will know no ending.
